Blind and Visually
Impaired Services LLC is a newly formed company. As owners, we have numerous
years of experience working in the field of visual impairment and blind
rehabilitation. We work with people of all ages, abilities, and skills. We
collaborate with families, eye care professionals and related agencies on
behalf of blind and visually impaired individuals. Our agency is also available
for in-service training and community presentations.
We provide assessment
and training for the visually impaired and blind population of Northcentral
Wisconsin. We work with individuals experiencing vision loss who want
to remain in their homes and live as independently as possible. Members of our
agency provide skills training to blind or visually impaired persons who have
the goal of entering an academic/vocational program, finding employment or
remaining in the workforce. Blind and Visually Impaired Services LLC
offers functional low vision assessments and follow up training as well as
evaluations and sequential, competency based instruction in: Orientation and
Mobility, Braille, Assistive Technology, Computer Keyboarding, and Activities
of Daily Living. Our primary goal is to help every individual successfully
acquire the blind rehabilitation skills and learning competencies needed
to maintain his/her highest level of functioning at home, in the community or
workplace.
